We are a nonprofit organization focused on creating opportunities for at-risk young people in the most deprived boroughs of London to engage in sports and recreational activities. Our mission is to support established clubs, charities, and youth centers by providing them with financial assistance to expand their reach and impact.
The Opportunity
Join our team as an Events Volunteer and become an essential part of our mission to provide sports and recreational opportunities for at-risk young people in London. As an Events Volunteer, you will be responsible for organizing every aspect of our events, ensuring they run smoothly and leave a lasting impact. This role not only offers valuable experience but also empowers you to tap into your organizational potential and utilize your event planning skills for a meaningful cause. Responsibilities
Create an overarching events strategy for YES, encompassing both individual participation events and corporate events.
Develop a plan to increase event participation, implementing strategies to attract and engage a wider audience.
Create corporate event packages to attract corporate partners and generate sponsorship opportunities.
Conduct targeted outreach to corporate partners, liaising with their representatives to secure their participation and support.
Coordinate all logistical elements of the events, including registration on online event portals, and managing set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional follow-up abilities.
Expert time management skills to ensure timely execution of event-related tasks.
Event planning experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Must have a reliable internet connection and access to a personal laptop.
London based
Time Commitment
Hours: 2 hours per week, a few hours more during event week
Contract duration: 6 months
Format: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings/events
