Rebecca Scown

Before taking on the role as CEO of the YES Charity, Rebecca competed internationally for New Zealand for 12 years in the sport of rowing. Her most notable results being two World Rowing Championship titles in 2010, 2011 along with a Bronze medal from the London 2012 Olympics, and Silver from the Rio 2016 Olympics. Rebecca was also very proud to lead the first ever New Zealand Women’s Eight to medal at a World Championship and qualify for the Olympics.

As an Olympic Ambassador in New Zealand for several years Rebecca could see the many positive ways in which sport creates life changing impact on young people.

Rebecca was excited to take on the lead role for the YES Charity in 2019 and is driven to create real impact in the city in which she has settled.
