A new era for Judo in  Hackney was born when the Hackney Judo club was established in 2013 by head coach Calvin Walker-Hall former National Champion and European Bronze medalist

Under the guidance of the clubs coaching team including Ricky Haynes and Beth O’ Connor they have guided children & young people from the local community to win hundreds of medals and achievements including coaching, refereeing and officiating qualifications and diplomas.

The club recently won the prestigious National award presented by the NGB’s CEO for British Judo club of the year.
