Marco Vetrone

Originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, Marco moved to London in 2015 with his family. Marco studied accounting and finance as an undergrad, completed an MBA from London Business School, is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CPA/CA), and a CFA Charterholder.

Marco started his career as an Auditor, then tried to redeem himself by working for a Canadian Bank and Financial Services firm for five years, before joining CPP Investments, where he spent over thirteen years in investment and operational roles. Most recently, Marco was Managing Director, Partnership Development and Operations and helped lead the efforts of the firm’s International Department, overseeing the regional operations of CPP Investments in Europe, and heading up strategic partnerships across EMEA. Marco helped the firm expand its geographic footprint and global infrastructure as the firm grew into one of the largest institutional investors in the world. Marco also held roles in Valuations, Operational Due Diligence, and Funding.

Marco grew up playing ice hockey and football and is a keen cyclist and overall sports enthusiast. He has helped raise funds for different UK charities through cycling and continues to compete in events around Europe. Marco previously served as a board member with Big Brothers Big Sisters (Canada) and on the audit committee of a Canadian school board. He is passionate about the work YES does in our local communities and is excited to be supporting YES in bringing the joys of sport to more young people in our beautiful city.
